This move is to improve your experience and making sure you get exactly what you sign up for. While Patreon will still be running mainly as a digital reward and blog hub, here are the key differences between the two:
Accuracy: When a member changes their pledge on Patreon, the system updates their memberships immediately and so at the end of the month, reports may be inaccurate as it does not display any previous statuses or payments.
Lower Fees for Apple Users: Due to new iOS fees, some members are being charged up to 30% more and this amount goes only to Apple. Moving off Patreon helps keep costs down.
More Control: The EXPULSE Club will remain as physical + digital subscription-based service, just like on Patreon. However, on here you’ll have more flexibility - you can pause or manage your subscription any time directly from your account dashboard. No need to reach out for changes!
Digital Rewards: My Patreon will continue to be a source of news and monthly digital rewards. Posts will be made the same as always - all posts will be made available to members paid or free in low resolution. Monthly rewards will continue to be delivered based on tiers.
However, on this website, digital rewards will now also be available as a membership tier. If you choose to stay on Patreon as a free member, you will still have access to all the behind-the-scenes on there, but you will receive the downloads via my shop!
Each month you will be notified of new available downloads and can access them through your account portal. Files will be available until the next release, which you will be notified of via email. Schedule wise, a new download will be available at the end of each month, so please download past files before then!
Physical Rewards: There are now more options for tiers and the amount of physical goods you'd like to receive! These rewards will still be sent out a month after their design releases.
Point System: On here, all orders will now gain points for you to use on future orders on the shop!
Annual Patreon Members: If you currently have an annual physical subscription, you’ll continue receiving your rewards as scheduled. However, please note that no new members will be able to join the physical tiers on Patreon moving forward.
No more stardust codes: Unfortunately, there was no way to have a system on the shop where codes could be automatically transferred into points. This just means that points and bonus rewards will be a perk of joining the shop tier!
